The Moxy Hotel brand by Marriott is coming to Tucson, with a brand new boutique-style hotel designed to appeal to a millennial clientele. Unique features will include compact rooms to encourage exploration of the town and its culture, as well as a modern and inviting second-floor pool deck.
Moxy Hotels are all about energy and ambiance. To achieve this, the hotel will blend seamlessly with the area’s entertainment venues, including the historic Congress Hotel and music venue across the street. The hotel will also feature two bars, one located on the ground floor that doubles as reception and a second level bar connected to the pool deck for an elevated outdoor experience. Interior design expertise will be provided by Pacific Northwest-based The Society.
AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design assisted us in conceptual design for two high-profile Marriott hotels: the Moxy Hotel Tucson and the Tribute Portfolio Tucson Hotel. Both of these one-of-a-kind properties were planned for thriving Downtown Tucson. The AXIS/GFA team was creative, extremely knowledgeable, and very easy to work alongside.
