Not only has AXIS/GFA provided excellent architectural work, they have been a true partner from the beginning of The Clancy project to now. AXIS/GFA is an integral part of the success of this Autograph conversion.
AXIS/GFA was instrumental in designing a new exterior façade and renovating the lower floors of The Clancy, an Autograph Collection By Marriott hotel. The renovations updated the hotel from the inside out, including an expanded lobby area as well as additional outdoor space. The design blends the simplicity of the materials found in the historically industrial South of Market neighborhood with the very design-forward and growth-focused energy that pushes through the streets and alleys of modern SOMA. Public art and open space are located throughout the ground floor areas that create a collaborative space for thought leaders and hotel guests alike. Also included in the renovation was The Clancy’s restaurant and bar, which were fitted with large nano-type windows to create a more visual space and to bring the outdoors into the interior spaces. Interior design expertise was provided by EDG.
